Module 2 of 6 · 3 minutes

Three numbers

Which day last month was your best day?

Nothing you type here is sent anywhere.

The idea

Memory is not a record.

Nobody can hold thirty days of numbers in their head. That's not what heads are for.

You know your busy days. You don't know what you actually made on them. Those are different things, and only one of them helps you decide anything.

Three numbers a day fixes it. Let's do today's.

Today

Three numbers, nothing else

Everything that came in.

Taxi, airtime, food, anything you paid for.

What you paid the wholesaler today. Nothing today is fine, put 0.

Today

One day tells you almost nothing. It could be a good day, a bad day, or an ordinary one, and you have no way of knowing which, because there's nothing to compare it to.

Thirty of these tells you your best day, your worst day, and what you actually make. That's the whole reason to do it.

The part people skip

Pick a thing, not a time

A time of day gets missed. A thing you already do every single day doesn't.

Which one is yours?

I'll do it at the end of the week

You won't. And a weekly guess isn't a record. It's the same feeling you already have, with more confidence behind it.

I don't write so well

Then say them. Three numbers into a voice note on your own phone counts exactly the same.

Someone will see my money

Three numbers don't say where anything is kept.

Your trigger

Every day, when I

Took · Cash out · Stock in

Send it to yourself so it's in your chats tonight.
